Help For Those On A Low Income

We at Encore Enterprises are determined that every young person in Herefordshire should be able to experience music tuition and develop their talents, whatever their financial or social background.

To realise this ambition, we provide an instrument hire bursary and an Encore Youth Music Bursary.

Encore Instrument Hire Bursary

For children and young people in receipt of free school meals and learning in a Partner School, we provide free instrument hire (a £25 refundable deposit is required).

Encore Youth Music Bursary

There is no charge for children and young people in receipt of free school meals who wish to take part in Encore Youth Music ensembles.

Herefordshire Music Fund

***New Bursary Applications***

Due to unprecedented demand all bursaries are fully allocated and the Herefordshire Music Fund is currently closed to new applications until further notice. The Trustees are working hard to raise additional funds and HMF will re-open for applications as soon as possible.

-------------------------------------------------------------

For parents/carers of young people who would like to learn an instrument or sing but for whom the cost makes it impossible, the Herefordshire Music Fund may be able to help.

The Herefordshire Music Fund is a registered charity that provides bursaries to children and young people from low-income families to fund instrumental and vocal tuition. It supports complete beginners through to the most experienced and across a range of styles including classical, folk, rock and jazz.

It nurtures the talent of young musicians across all genres by helping those who struggle financially with the cost of taking part in activities including workshops, courses, residentials, events and masterclasses / sessions with renowned musicians.
